B'nai Telem Reads!

Hi parents!
Last night the B'nai Telem classes joined the 11th and 12th grade TELEM class to the Boys and Girls Club in Dorchester. While the 7th grade is spending the year learning about different Mitzvah opportunities and seeing the different ways they can be involved to make the world a better place, TELEM class (11th and 12th grades) has been reading buddies with the boys and girls in the Dorchester club all year and last night we joined in the fun! Your children impressed me by how comfortable they were to just grab a book and get started. Their enthusiasm, comfort, and excitement spread like wildfire and soon a reading party had errupted. Thank you so much to Joshua Paris for driving us all there.
Your 7th graders have learned, and now have seen the importance of reading and having places in the community where kids can go to and have the support they need.  Afterall, it does take a village!
Zoe Goldstein's Bat Mitzvah project focuses just on that. If you would like to learn more about literacy and how you can help click here.

Thank you TELEM students for being great examples!
